Sienkiewicz & McKenna, P.C. was established in 1988 as a litigation based general law practice serving lower Litchfield and upper Fairfield Counties in Connecticut. The firm accepts a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, product liability and medical malpractice claims; real estate and construction contract claims; foreclosure and debt collection matters; and municipal land use litigation. The firm also accepts administrative litigation, including appearances before administrative agencies and court appeals in areas involving land use, public health and the environment.
In 1998, after two appeals to the Connecticut Supreme Court, the firm successfully concluded a zoning case for the Town of New Milford resulting in a $43.1 million dollar settlement in favor of the Town.
The firm also practices in the area of family law. Nancy R. Sienkiewicz was the first area attorney to practice in the field of divorce mediation and provides not only mediation services but also provides post divorce financial planning.
Transactional legal work also forms a basis of the firm's practice. The firm accepts residential and commercial real estate transactions, corporation and limited liability company formation, and personal and small business financing.
